Hello Masha,
Thank you for your question, that is a 4 ft swing. I do make 6 ft swings and I just got done building one. Thank you,Doug
My 5′ swing weights around 55 to 60lbs, and I am very comfortable saying they will hold 1000 lbs with no worrys. I would say that there is absolutly no way you could put enough weight on them, to make them fail. Thank you,Doug
Hello, My swings are very durable, and could withstand allot of weight, but if you lower the back to far, it could tip over backwards. I recommend, that if you lower the back to push down on the back till it will not be easy to flip backwards. It can be lowered, but just don’t go to far. You are welcome to give me a call, and I’ll help you all I can. Thank you,Doug

How much does your 5′ oak swing weigh? What’s its weight capacity?
Thanks.

Would it affect the integrity or load bearing capability if if I added a D ring or extension link on the back chain to adjust the pitch of the seat?
